We are so excited to share with you all Kin — a smart assistant for parents to discover trusted information and plan experiences.

We as parents have a lot of questions and the questions keep changing as kids grow — fun events to go to this weekend as a family? Museums with free days? Parks with water play and easy parking? How about some places or events with dinosaurs? Family-friendly restaurants close by to an event or location? Closest campground for camping with a 3 year old? Are there any Lego events coming up in the neighborhood for my Lego obsessed 5 years old? Where can I introduce chess to my 6 year old? Camps recommended by my friends? The list goes on…

Discovering such information and more importantly, high-quality and trusted information today can mean weeding through a pile of content on Google, Facebook, Yelp, blogs, parenting forums, messaging, or talking with your friends. Bucket List for Last Leg of Summer in the Bay Area

This post is from Sandhya, one of Kin’s cofounders who wants to make her summer more event-full! C an’t believe there is just a little more than a month left in summer! As a family, we had a long list of things to do — go hiking every week, go camping more, go to the beaches often, watch movies in the park, picnic brunches with friends, go for a walk after dinner. Well, so far, we have barely gotten around to most of the things on that list. Going by summer ends on Labor Day long weekend calculation, we have 30+ days to go. Here are all the things we intend to do and some of the things we have done as a family. If I were to choose an activity that I would do more and more of in summer, it would be movies in the park. There is something about watching movies after dark, under the stars. There is an excellent lineup of outdoor, family-friendly movies in the coming weeks.
