Summertime and a Giveaway

In a series of posts, we will feature fabulous recommendations of places to go and things to do around the Bay Area from members of Kin community. This one is from Prathima, one of Kin’s cofounders who takes a trip down memory lane while talking about her favorite summer camp and wraps it up with a giveaway!

What was your summer like growing up? My childhood summers back in India, many decades ago :), were all about staying outdoors the whole day hanging out with neighbors and friends, eating mangoes, playing games, doing art and science projects (or that’s what I like to call them now!), and above all the ultimate freedom to do what I wanted within acceptable (parental) boundaries of course. While I was very lucky to have grown up with my grandparents who would take care of me and my sister while my parents were at work, the reality is different for my kids, here in the US, who need to be enrolled in summer camps! And the one summer camp that I feel comes close to providing the fun and unstructured summertime experience for kids is Steve & Kate’s!

Steve & Kate’s is about providing a safe environment full of possibilities that kids are free to explore at their own will and pace. They offer very interesting and unique studios like film-making, bread-making, coding and robotics, fashion and music in addition to various sports, games, dance or improv workshops, live music/magic shows, large recreational showstoppers like rock climbing walls or bungee trampolines, maker studios, game shows and more. For younger campers (PreK-K) who need a little guidance and structure, they have recently introduced a launchpad program!

Steve & Kate’s FLEXIBILITY can’t be beat. Camps are from 7.30 am to 6 pm. No before and after-care charges. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are all included. Enroll for just one day or the whole of summer. Go to any location on any day without having to reserve a spot. And, best of all — get your money back for the days you don’t use! Can it get any better for a parent?

We at Kin highly recommend checking out Steve & Kate’s if you haven’t already! One tip — enroll your kids along with their friends for maximum fun. If you have already tried the camp, we’d love to hear your thoughts.

And guess what, we have an exciting promotion just for you — we are giving away one day pass for Steve & Kate’s (110$ worth, valid for 2019). 🎉🎉🎉 If you’d like to enter for a chance to win, follow the steps below. Last day to enter is July 20, 2019!
